Proposals On the Youth Wage Subsidy by the Government
Nov 1, 2013 166 view(s)The proposed Youth Wage subsidy by the Government is under process of creating jobs for South African youths. But, this attempt will not fully solve the ongoing unemployment crisis in South Africa.
It is rather a good news to create new jobs for the youths, but this step is just one step from those thousands of steps which should be taken to remove unemployment from SA. Half of the total South African youths are unemployed and 300,000 of them come in the economy post-Matric, each year, many struggling to find work.
After a long time of 20 years, still ANC’s mis-management of the economy is affecting the jobs and ruining the future of thousands of young people. One of the reason is that there is a lack of understanding between the government and business regarding what is essential to create jobs in private sector.
This ANC government rather cannot make its decision regarding the economy and the sectoral policies. Correspondingly at the same time the Treasury are enduring ahead with the Youth Wage Subsidy. The economic development minister Patel is developing further an alternative, the Youth Wage Accord. This states another failed attempt of the political power due to which millions of youths are suffering.
AgangSA is having a more desiring view regarding the future, one of them is we can build an economy which can create jobs, not just in government. They also believe that together they can create a global Top 10 education system of the 21st Century within 10 years, which will provide education to the youths due to which they can fully participate in the economy and build up their careers.
Further they will increase up the academic standards by lifting up the pass rates to 50%, and raise up the teaching methodology by providing special training to the teachers, linking performance and grades and attracting more and more graduates in the profession which in-turn will create thousands of new jobs in the teaching field.
AgangSA will boost up the economy through setting a proper stable policy and having the political power to deliver on it. We will create thousands of jobs throughout the country, infrastructure build programme, through tax credit for SME’s which will help in creating local jobs and by hiring more teachers, nurses and police.
